Suspect sought in fatal shooting of motorcyclist in Cross Plains

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) —Authorities are searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a motorcyclist in Robertson County Monday night.  

The shooting occurred at the intersection of East Robertson Road and Friendship Road in Cross Plains around 7:30 p.m. 

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office reported deputies found the motorcyclist, identified as 42-year-old Brandon Rettich, had died from injuries he sustained from a shooting.  

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Marquis Waller, reportedly fled the scene of the shooting in a yellow Ford Mustang. 

The Robertson County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Rettich and Waller. 

A criminal homicide warrant has been issued for Waller’s arrest. 

Waller is described by authorities as a black man, 245 pounds, 6 feet 1 inch tall. The Mustang has a black strip and minor to moderate damage to its front end.
