Silver Alert cancelled for missing Nashville woman

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Silver Alert has been cancelled  after a missing 96-year-old woman out of Madison has been located. 

Police said 96-year-old Waurine Winters was reported missing after her son went to go check on her at her Mansker Drive home around 6 p.m. Saturday. 

Officer Nick Berens located Winters in a wooded area near her home after she had fallen into a ravine near Mansker Creek, according to Metro police.  

Winters was reportedly talking to emergency responders who transported her to a waiting ambulance for treatment.

No additional information was immediately released.
