NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A woman was injured in a shooting Metro police believe stemmed from a road rage incident outside an apartment complex in Antioch Friday morning.
The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. at the Bell Hollow Apartments on Cane Ridge Road near Bell Road.
According to Metro police, the woman was pulling into the complex with a friend when they were followed by a gray sedan.
Shots were fired from inside the sedan and the driver was struck in the leg and behind.
She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Metro police told News 2 the preliminary investigation indicates this was caused by a road rage incident.
No additional information was immediately released.
