A man was charged with aggravated assault after police said he cut a security guard at a hospital in Hermitage.

Police in Metro’s Hermitage Precinct said the suspect was a patient at TriStar Summit Medical Center.

According to an affidavit, 44-year-old Aubrey Pratt left his hospital room Friday morning with an IV still in his arm.

Police said the security guard noticed the man in the hallway and asked him to head back to his room.

Pratt then reportedly got angry, picked up a pair of scissors and cut the guard on the arm.

The whole incident was caught on hospital surveillance video. Investigators said the security guard needed five stitches.

Pratt is charged with aggravated assault.
