1 killed, 7 injured in crash at Franklin intersection

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — Franklin police are investigating a crash that killed at least one person and injured seven other people on Easter Sunday.

Officers said the crash, which involved two vehicles, happened Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Murfreesboro Road and Royal Oaks Boulevard.

Eight people were taken to three different hospitals, according to police. At least one of the crash victims died as a result of their injuries.

In a statement, Franklin police said, “Our prayers are with the involved families and their loved ones, and our hearts are heavy with the seriousness of such tragedy on this Easter Sunday.”

No additional information has been released.
