Pedestrian hit, killed by train in Berry Hill

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A person was killed after being hit by a train in Berry Hill Monday night.

Metro police said the pedestrian was struck around 8:40 p.m. near Berry Road, which is near Interstate 440 and Interstate 65.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead, according to investigators.

CSX released a statement following the incident, which reads:

“CSX extends its deepest sympathies to everyone impacted by this tragic incident, and we will work on scene to support local law enforcement as they investigate. There were no reported injuries to the crew.”
