CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — An officer-involved shooting in Cheatham County is under investigation after a Sunday night car chase ended with two suspects in the hospital.

The Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. on Old Clarksville Pike and Randy Road.

Officials told News 2 that a pursuit involving a vehicle and the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office led to shots being fired. 

The sheriff’s office said one of the shots fired by a deputy struck a suspect in the thigh. Another suspect in the vehicle is believed to have sustained injuries from the crash. 

According to the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, both suspects were transported to a hospital and are expected to recover. 

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are being investigated by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. No other information was immediately released.
