The Nashville Humane Association is offering furloughed federal employees free pet food and supplies.

The free pet food bank will be held Monday, Jan. 21 from 1 to 4 p.m.

“NHA is here to serve our community and we realize that many federal employees are facing a difficult situation with the government shutdown,” said Laura Chavarria, NHA Executive Director. “As Nashville’s not-for-profit city shelter we’re here to help pets and pet-owners in our pet-loving community, and hopefully some free pet food and supplies will make things just a little bit easier for furloughed employees.”

All federal employees have to do is bring their federal ID or similar federal employee ID.
