The Nashville Fire Department is investigating after a house fire in South Nashville.
Firefighters responded to the call just after 6:30 p.m. to a house on Fairfield Avenue and Fain Street just south of downtown.
No injuries were reported and fire officials said the house was vacant.
Neighbors told News 2 the home had been vacant for a while, but it’s known that people sought shelter in the house when it got cold.
Fire officials are investigating to determine how the fire started.
