NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Metro Nashville Police Department is investigating gunshots were fired at its officers in Bordeaux.

The incident happened just after 3 a.m. on Friday, May 26 in the area of Pheasant Drive and Dove Place.

Metro police reported detectives were initially in the area to conduct surveillance on a suspicious vehicle before the vehicle pulled into a home on Pheasant Drive.

Two people got out of the vehicle and at least one person fired upon the undercover police vehicle as it passed by the home, according to Metro police.

No officers were injured during the incident and the police vehicle was struck one time. Metro police said at one point, at least eight people exited the home.

Officers did not return fire. The investigation is ongoing.
