NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police say they ended their Sunday night by making their third serial robbery arrest of the weekend.

Late Sunday night, Metro police announced the arrest of ex-con Terrance Turner, 43, who is accused of being responsible for multiple robberies that occurred at several Dollar Tree and Dollar General stores across the Metro area.

According to Metro police, Turner’s most recent robbery occurred at the Dollar Tree on Smiths Springs Road in the Priest Lake area.

Officials say meticulous surveillance conducted by officers led to Turner’s arrest. Turner is believed responsible for at least eight robbery cases, according to Metro police.

Metro police say Turner is believed to be connected to the following holdups:

  • Dollar Tree, 2806 Smith Springs Road, December 28th
  • Dollar General, 2275 Murfreesboro Pike, January 2nd
  • Dollar General, 2214 Hobson Pike, January 4th
  • Dollar Tree, 2806 Smith Springs Road, January 5th
  • Dollar General, 3803 October Woods Drive, January 10th
  • Dollar General, 2275 Murfreesboro Pike, January 12th
  • Dollar Tree, 2806 Smith Springs Road, January 22nd

Turner was charged with seven counts of aggravated robbery with a weapon, unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon and use a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony – all are felony charges.

Metro police say Turner is also expected to be charged in Rutherford County for his connection to a robbery that occurred at the Dollar General at 331 Fergus Road in La Vergne.

Turner has prior convictions for two counts of attempted 2nd degree murder and especially aggravated kidnapping. His total bond is currently set at $575,000.
