NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department arrested a second suspect in a murder case from last April.
Detectives arrested Deshawn Smith, 31, on Wednesday, March 1. He was booked into the Metro jail on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery.
Smith was still being held without bond as of Thursday, March 2.
He’s the second suspect in the fatal shooting of Tywane Miller, 39, from April 1, 2022, according to officials. The incident happened in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store on Gallatin Avenue at Maxwell Avenue.
At the time, Metro police said three people in a Ford Flex were involved in Miller’s death.
Michael Clay, 31, was reportedly charged in the case last September.
However, authorities said they are still trying to track down 19-year-old De’Tynn Smith, who is wanted for multiple charges in connection with the deadly shooting at the 7-Eleven and the related carjacking of a man on Interstate 40.
