NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department is searching for at least two suspects who allegedly vandalized multiple houses in the Sylvan Park neighborhood early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, March 19, police released doorbell video footage from one of the impacted homes just before 1:30 a.m. showing what appeared to be two male suspects with their faces covered, one of whom spray-painted the Ring camera when they arrived.

According to authorities, at least two individuals spray-painted swastikas and hate messages on five homes along Westlawn Drive, Nebraska Avenue, Wyoming Avenue, Colorado Avenue, and Idaho Avenue.

Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, as well as the West Precinct’s Investigations Unit, are reportedly working on the case.

In the meantime, anyone who lives in the Sylvan Park area is asked to check their home surveillance systems for videos or images of the suspected vandals.

Officials said Police Chief John Drake has ordered an increased patrol presence in the Sylvan Park neighborhood, as well as the areas around the city’s Jewish institutions.

Meanwhile, Nashville Mayor John Cooper tweeted a statement following the incident:

“Nashville stands united against the hate and bigotry these disgusting acts represent. Grateful to Chief Drake & his team for their ongoing work to track down those responsible and hold them accountable. We will not tolerate antisemitism or discrimination of any kind in our city.”
