NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man has died after being shot on Briley Parkway Friday afternoon.

According to Metro police, a 46-year-old man was driving his black Honda CR-V south on Briley Parkway just before 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28 when he came under fire. He was later identified as Gerges A. Youssef.

Police said that Youssef’s vehicle hit a guardrail and went off into a grassy area after the shooting. The car also had multiple bullet holes on both sides.

Youssef was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later died.

Metro police said Youssef left work a short time before the shooting occurred and was within a mile of his home.

No suspect information has been released. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
