NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police are trying to track down a man wanted in connection with a deadly stabbing at a South Nashville condo Thursday night.
Metro Nashville dispatch said the call came in as a shooting just before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 at a condominium complex in the 500 block of Harding Place.

Members of the Metro Nashville Police Department arrived at the address and found a man dead inside the condo, but he had actually been stabbed, according to officers on the scene.
Officials announced on Friday, March 17 that 50-year-old Gary Burchett is wanted in connection with the deadly stabbing.
The victim — identified by police as 51-year-old Thomas Wayne Mitchell — had reportedly been living with Burchett’s estranged wife.
According to authorities, Burchett’s wife said she “acknowledged informing Burchett of domestic issues she was having with Mitchell.”
After that, Burchett arrived at the condo and reportedly told her to leave.
Officers said they found the woman at a nearby convenience store later on.
Officials said they believe Burchett is driving a white Ford F-250 Supercab with Tennessee license plate 088BGSQ.
