On Friday afternoon, Nashville International Airport stopped all flights from taking off or landing.
That halt was lifted momentarily, but a second ground stop was issued later Friday afternoon. While some flights were able to take off from BNA Friday, a number of scheduled flights for the evening were delayed or canceled.
BNA spokesperson Stacey Nickens said the issues are due to weather in the area.
