DAVIDSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – Metro police have confirmed that a man has died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at 2:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 40 by the McCrory Lane exit near the Cheatham County line.
According to Metro police, 22-year-old Bradley Toews of Kingston Springs was traveling westbound on Interstate 40 when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Officers say Toews 2019 Ford Mustang went through a guardrail and then down an embankment. Toews, who was wearing his seatbelt, died at the scene.
At this time investigators believe excessive speed is a contributing factor in the crash.
