Officials said a 2017 Nissan Rogue was heading north on Nolensville Pike when the driver — identified as 24-year-old Kelly Smith of White Bluff — apparently crossed over the turn lane and into the southbound lanes, colliding with a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The driver of the Jeep — later identified as 31-year-old Emmanuel David Rodriguez-Leon, of Nashville — died at the scene.

Meanwhile, Smith was taken to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later died, Metro police said.
