NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Metro Nashville Police Department is searching for the occupants of a stolen vehicle that was involved in a crash that left a 26-year-old woman dead early Saturday morning.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the intersection Dickerson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard.

According to Metro police, before the crash occurred, officers attempted to stop a 2020 Dodge Charger after the vehicle was seen doing donuts in the middle of Dickerson Pike.
Officials say the Charger fled southbound, and officers decided not to pursue the vehicle.
Metro police say moments later, the Charger struck a Mazda 3 at the intersection of Dickerson Pike and Old Hickory Boulevard.

The driver of Mazda, 26-year-old Kimberly Benezue of Clarksville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger inside the Mazda was transported to Skyline Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
According to Metro police, the occupants of the Dodge Charger fled the scene after the crash. The Charger had reportedly been stolen from North Nashville just hours before the fatal crash.
Authorities say toxicology testing will be conducted to determine whether impairment was a factor in the deadly crash.
Anyone with information about the occupants of the Charger is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. No other information was immediately released.
