NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One person was killed and another person was injured after a crash early Saturday morning on Dickerson Pike.

The single-vehicle crash happened at approximately 4:21 a.m. on Saturday, April 8, near the intersection of Dickerson Pike and Dellway Drive, officials said.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, a Chrysler 200 was heading southbound at a high rate of speed when it veered left, crossed into opposing travel lanes, went off the road, crashed into a wooden utility pole, continued through a metal fence, and crashed into a metal pole before coming to rest.

Authorities said the 21-year-old driver, later identified as Ke’asia Franklin, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the condition of the person injured in the crash remains unknown amid the ongoing investigation into the incident.

No other information was immediately released.
