NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities are investigating a deadly crash on Briley Parkway at Two Rivers Parkway.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the single-vehicle crash happened at noon on the southbound side of Briley Parkway at the Two Rivers Parkway exit.
Metro police said a 17-year-old boy was driving a 2003 Honda Accord very fast when he lost control, crossed all four lanes of travel, ran off the roadway and crashed into a wood line.
According to Metro police, a 14-year-old girl in the car was killed. Her identity has not yet been confirmed due to the extent of her injuries. The driver, as well as a 16-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl all have non-life threatening injuries.


Metro police said the driver will be charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication and two counts of aggravated assault when he is discharged from the hospital. He also showed signed of impairment and admitted to consuming four beers before the crash.
All southbound lanes were closed for hours before reopening Wednesday afternoon.
No other information was released.
