NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a 68-year-old man was shot and killed in East Nashville Sunday night.
The shooting happened around 8 p.m. at a home in the 1200 block of Howard Avenue.
Metro police reported Thomas Roberts, 68, died of a single gunshot wound to his chest on the front porch of the home.
Officers responded to the home and encountered Christine Roberts, who told them she shot her husband because he had cheated on her, according to a release. A pistol was recovered from beside Christine.
A neighbor heard the gunshot and went next door to help. They found Thomas lying on the porch and called 911, according to an arrest warrant.
Christine was booked into the Metro jail and charged with criminal homicide. Her bond was set at $100,000.
No other details have been shared about this deadly shooting.
