NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nashville International Airport announced Monday that they set a new record for most departing passengers screened in a single day.
According to airport officials, BNA screened 29,371 passengers on Sunday, May 5. That’s a 14.5 percent increase from May 5, 2018. The previous record was 28,550 passengers on Nov. 12, 2018.
The airport also announced that 17,356 bags were processed, which is a 17.2 increase compared to May 5 of last year. The single-day record of 17,511 was set on Dec. 26, 2018.
BNA says they screen approximately 20,000 departing passengers on average every day.
