NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Crews were on the scene of a deadly fire at CubeSmart Self Storage on Robertson Avenue in West Nashville Sunday morning.

According to the Nashville Fire Department, a body was recovered from inside the storage units.

Fire officials told News 2 there may be a meth lab within the building.

The medical examiner’s office will be taking over the death investigation. However, Nashville fire tells us the victim was likely just visiting the unit and was not believed to be living there.

Officials say there’s still no word yet on how many units were affected by this fire but there are between 50-75 units in the one building where the fire was contained.

Nashville Fire says it was a difficult fire to put out because of the interior and exterior units, and also because of the warm weather.

It is an active scene and firefighters are advising everyone to avoid the area at this time.
