MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) – A 16-year-old boy, who was missing for over a month, has been found safe, according to the Murfreesboro Police Department.

Kezyian Lawrence, 16, was reported missing by one of his parents. The parent told officers that they last saw Kezyian on Aug. 9. 

Authorities said the teen’s parents were able to contact him via text message, but he refused to come home. 

After he was reported missing, Kezyian was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as a missing person. 

On Monday, Sept. 25 the Murfreesboro Police Department announced that he was found safe and his name was removed from the database.

Additional details surrounding the teen’s disappearance were not immediately released.
