Motorcyclist dies after crash in North Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A motorcyclist has died after a crash in North Nashville, according to police.

Police responded to the call just before 7 p.m. at Old Hickory Boulevard and the on-ramp to Interstate 24 East in North Nashville.

Officials said a pick-up truck was attempting to turn left on Old Hickory Boulevard when the motorcycle, traveling east, collided with the pick-up at the intersection.

The motorcyclist, Timothy Williams, was taken to Tri-Star Skyline Medical Center where he died.

The 48-year-old driver of the pickup truck was not hurt. He was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

Police said there was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement in the fatal accident.
