MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — This is the 11th year for the “Healing Field of Murfreesboro,” an event to honor and remember the brave men and women who lost their lives serving our country.
Each year hundreds of flags are placed in rows side-by-side, some with stories and pictures of fallen soldiers.
The event offers photo opportunities in the field with the flags as well as the opportunity to meet current veterans.
The three-day free event runs Saturday through Monday.
An opening ceremony will be held Saturday morning at 8 a.m. with a closing ceremony being held Monday at 5 p.m.
