NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Nashville Fire Department crews battled flames in the scorching heat Monday at a home in Joelton.
Crews responded to the call just before 4:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of Eatons Creek Road.
District fire chief Donald Alford told News 2 neighbors called dispatch saying they heard popping noises and saw flames coming from the roof of the home. The homeowners were not present at the time, they left to go to the hospital with one of their children.
Alford said they believe the fire started on the side deck of the home.
Fire investigators are on scene.
