NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A report of people breaking into cars Tuesday outside of a Madison motel led to the arrest of a man wanted in multiple counties.
Cody Davis, 24, was charged with evading arrest and drug possession.
According to an arrest affidavit, Metro police responded to the area of America’s Best Value Inn along Rivergate Parkway for a report of possible vehicle burglars in the parking lot.
When officers arrived, they said they observed Davis carrying a large bag of property.
After running the suspect’s information, the paperwork states officers discovered Davis had warrants out of Rutherford County for a felony sex offender registration violation and domestic assault, as well as a felony probation violation warrant out of Coffee County.
Officers ordered Davis to put his hands behind his back, but said he ran from Rivergate Drive, across Rivergate Parkway, through a gas station parking lot, into a church parking lot and behind a restaurant where he was taken into custody while on railroad tracks.
Police said Davis had approximately one gram of methamphetamine.
Bond for Davis was set at $6,000.
