From bandmates to coworkers and friends, they are all mourning the loss of 24-year-old Kyle Yorlets.
Yorlets was shot and killed at his home on Thursday afternoon after an attempted robbery. Five juveniles were charged in the murder.
The 24-year-old singer/songwriter was the lead singer of local band Carverton. The band released a statement.
“On February 7, 2019 we lost our brother, best friend, and bandmate Kyle Yorlets. We are in a state of shock and are having to grasp the reality that is now in front of us. We are heartbroken. Our condolences for his family and loved ones and all the lives that he touched. We will never forget Kyle, and though he is gone too soon his legacy is here to stay.”

Yorlets was also a beloved worker at local restaurant “Milk and Honey” in the Gulch. Milk and Honey also released a statement about Yorlets’ death.
“The Milk and Honey family is deeply saddened by the loss of Kyle Yorlets. We are doing everything we can to support close friends of Kyle at this time.”
The Pennsylvania native graduated from Belmont University in May 2017. A GoFundMe has been set up to help with funeral expenses and the family’s travel expenses.
