“Our patrons heard shots ring out and all of them rushed in,” said Matt Siebe, director of operations for Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery about 100 yards away.
“We were in the middle of our bike night which we do every Wednesday night,” Siebe said.
According to Siebe’s staff, gunshots broke out around 8:30.
“Everyone was just trying to get somewhere safe and obviously there was panic,” he said.
James Ramsey, 37, and John Allgood, 53, died from their injuries, according to Clarksville Police.
Police say they were killed after an argument.
“The gentleman entered Longhorn and started the issue with the two fallen gentlemen, and they went outside and that’s where guns were drawn,” Siebe said.
“Just a lot of scared people,” he said.
The shooting happened in a busy area filled with restaurants.
“It’s scary,” said April Lance who eats nearby every Thursday.
“It’s getting a lot more dangerous to be out in public,” Lance said. “It’s nerve-racking.”
“I hope they catch the culprit.”
