The body of a man found in a crashed car in a Nashville creek is identified as a missing Cheatham County man.
According to police, 31-year-old Steven Adams Jr. was traveling south on River Road in a 2013 Hyundai Elantra when he entered a significant curve, traveled 200 feet off the roadway, down an embankment, and into the creek bed.
Officers said they estimate the crash happened nine days ago and had gone unnoticed until Thursday.
A missing person report was filed for Adams on June 20.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, where the medical examiner will make a positive identification.
