Body found in Cumberland Co. identified as Cookeville man

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The body of a man found in Cumberland County over the weekend has been identified as a Cookeville man, according to deputies. 

The body was found on May 25 just after 11 a.m. on Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail off Highway 68. deputies said hikers discovered the man lying face down on the trail. It appeared it had been dead for several days. 

The body was identified as 60-year-old Tommy Woods of Paran Road in Cookeville. Police said the death appeared to be of natural causes.
