Storm chances will be on the increase on Sunday. Although a few dying storms are expected during the morning hours, the highest chance for any strong storms would be in the afternoon and early evening.
The biggest threats are for gusty winds, and possibly some small hail, BUT lightning is always a worry on a warm summer-like weekend with people outdoors. Keep an eye on the western sky, and “When the thunder roars, go indoors”.
The Storm Prediction Center is maintaining a Marginal Risk for severe weather generally from the I-65 corridor westward.
Storms should be exiting the mid-state before midnight Sunday night.
