A 12-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after receiving head injuries during a car accident in White Bluff on Saturday morning. Luckily, the child was not seriously injured.
According to White Bluff Police Chief Chris Fulcher, the crash happened near the corner of Highway 70 and Martin Street.
Officials said the boy was playing ball in his grandmother’s yard when he ran out in the road to retrieve it without paying attention.
The driver saw the boy and swerved. The driver missed the bo. However, he was hit in the head with the car’s side mirror.
The 12-year-old was transported to Horizon with non-life threatening injuries.
According to Fulcher, investigators determined that the driver was not at fault. The person will not face charges in the incident.
