1 injured in shooting near Nashville fast food restaurant

Metro police said a man was robbed and shot outside of a fast food restaurant Saturday night in Northeast Nashville. 

The victim told police he was asleep outside of the Jack in the Box on Hampton Street when he was attacked. He walked to a nearby gas station to call for help.

Police said the man was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment and that his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
