Michael Ezzo lives on Edgar Dillard Road in Greenbrier, where he heard gunshots near his home Sunday night.
“Just before 9:30, I heard five quick gunshots,” Ezzo said.
He says after a few minutes, he heard another round of shots.
“I heard four slower shots and it was ‘bam, bam, bam, bam,'” Ezzo said.
“It was probably 9 or 10 shots.”
Investigators say a 15-year-old boy was shot at a home on that same street.
When officers got to the scene, they found a car flipped over with the victim and four others inside.
“He was shot at the residence,” said Jessica Drake, public information officer for the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office. “The car wrecked while they were leaving the scene.”
Twenty-year-old Ashton Bolen was arrested in connection with the shooting.
Investigators are still looking for the second suspect 20-year-old Kyler Anderson.
Both men face five counts each of reckless endangerment and attempted criminal homicide.
Bolen is also charged with possession of marijuana.
Officials say the shooting wasn’t random and neighbors shouldn’t be afraid.
“This is an isolated incident,” Drake said. “This is not a random shooting. So, they do not need to be in fear of a random shooter on the streets.”
The victim was treated and is now in stable condition.
The four other people in the car were treated for minor injuries.
