LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Middle Tennessee police department is mourning the loss of one of their own.
The La Vergne Police Department announced on Facebook that Detective Sgt. Kevin Stolinsky passed away Friday afternoon while on duty.
The announcement stated Sgt. Stolinsky died following a “medical incident.”
The longtime veteran of the department had served the city since 2001.
A gathering for Stolinsky’s family and friends will be held on November 16 at Lifepoint Church in Smyrna from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
Services to honor and celebrate the detective’s life will be held on November 17 at Lifepoint Church on Legacy Drive in Smyrna.
