Hopkinsville police said a burglar was held captive by the homeowner until help arrived.
WHOP reported the suspect as 47-year-old James Mullen.
Mullen is accused of breaking into a home along Princeton Road early Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville police got a call from the homeowner alerting them of the break-in.
When officers arrived, the homeowner reportedly had Mullen restrained to keep him from running.
The victim told officers that Mullen had assaulted two people in the home.
Police say the suspect also had meth on him at the time.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree burglary and possession of meth.
According to the arrest report, Mullen and the homeowner were acquaintances.
