Kentucky father charged in crash that killed young daughter

WARREN COUNTY,  Ky. (WKRN) — A Kentucky man has been arrested in connection with a crash Thursday night in Warren County that killed his three-year-old daughter and injured several of his other children.

Dyllan Martter, 39, was charged with murder, DUI and three counts of wanton endangerment.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:30 p.m. Thursday to a single-vehicle crash on Three Forks Road in Smiths Grove.

When deputies arrived, they said they located a Ford Excursion overturned in the roadway.

The driver, Martter, and his four juvenile children, ages one to eleven, were transported to Greenview Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries, investigators said.

One of the juveniles, Martter’s three-year-old daughter, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

During the investigation, deputies said they arrested Martter and lodged him in the Warren County jail.

Investigators have not commented on the extent of the injuries for the other three children involved.
