Fort Campbell soldier dies after crashing truck in ravine

A soldier stationed at Fort Campbell died in a crash in Trigg Co., Ky., early Sunday morning, according to officials with Kentucky State Police. 

The single-vehicle crash happened on US-68/80 near Energy Lake Road just after 1 a.m. Sunday. 

Kolton L. Bush, 20 of Forsyth, Ga., a soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, was killed in the crash. 

Officials say Bush was traveling westbound on Highway 68 in a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck when he left the roadway and crashed into a ravine. The Trigg Co. Coroner pronounced him dead on the scene. 

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused him to crash, but say he was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
