Kentucky State Police have arrested two people after a two-month-old baby reportedly suffered severe injuries.

The baby was initially taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Police said the baby’s injuries were consistent with abuse.

Cassandra Hansley, 23, is charged with assault and 24-year-old Cody Hansley is charged with complicity to assault. Both remain jailed in Christian County.

Police said the baby was last listed in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
