Kentucky police pursuit ends in Davidson County


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A police pursuit that began in Oak Grove, Kentucky, ended in northwest Davidson County early Thursday morning.

Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were pursuing a car on Interstate 24 East through Robertson and Cheatham counties before the chase ended near the White’s Creek exit around 4 a.m.

The pursuit began when the suspect’s vehicle rammed two Oak Grove Police Department’s patrol vehicle, authorities said.

The driver, Sinquan Smith, 23, and two female passengers, Latorya Brooks, 35, and Rhoneshai Vaughn, 22, attempted to flee from authorities in their vehicle after stealing items from a local business.

Smith was taken into custody and charged with felony evading and driving on a revoked license by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Brooks and Vaughn were cited for misdemeanor theft and released by the OGPD. Further charges are pending.
