Injured TSU linebacker Christion Abercrombie is making tremendous progress in his recovery.

According to his mother, Staci Abercrombie, Christion is able to wave his hand, tell time, and mumble names and the word “Yes”.

“It started when his dad heard something, and said ‘can you talk’, he whispered YES! Blessings on Blessings! Said Staci Abercrombie in a tweet Sunday.

Christion Abercrombie was injured on a play during TSU’s game versus Vanderbilt on Sept. 29.

He was rushed to the emergency room and had to have emergency surgery.

The linebacker was discharged last week and is currently at a rehab facility in Atlanta, Georgia.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help Christion and his family. Click here to donate
