A portion of Interstate 24 was closed early Friday morning after a semi caught fire near the Joelton exit.
The fire began in the eastbound lanes around 3:45 a.m.
Fire officials told News 2 the truck blew a tire, which sparked the fire in the rear of the truck that was hauling sawdust.
Crews used a crane to flip the truck onto its side, dumping the smoldering remains into a ditch. Cleanup crews are on the scene to help remove the remnants.
One lane of traffic reopened around 5:30 a.m. The roadway fully reopened to traffic around 6:45 a.m.
