NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A member of President Obama’s cabinet visited a Nashville school Wednesday morning.

Julian Castro, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, sat and talked with students today at Stratford Stem Magnet High School.

Castro spoke about the importance of making sure students have access to the Internet.

Mayor Megan Barry also sat in on the discussion as he explained a new program called Connect Home.

“Connect Home is about equipping our young people with the tools and the information they need to achieve their dreams,” Sec. Castro said.

Castro goes on to say that the first goal of the program is to bring Internet access to the nation’s public housing complexes.
