How to keep your utility bills down during winter months

The winter weather can make your home cold and drive up your electricity bills, but with some helpful tips you can keep costs low and stay warm.

When it comes to the thermostat it’s best to keep it set at 68 to 72. This will reduce your prices.

Also make sure your doors and windows stay closed and locked , the less cold air coming in the better. Weather stripping can also help keep the cold air out. Most new homes have the weather stripping, but if you don’t you can put a towel under the doors to block the air.

Changing the air filter is important as well. This is something some people forget to do, but will help keep your home warm.
