NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Fire officials are investigating a possible arson case after a vacant home went up in flames early Tuesday morning, just north of downtown Nashville.

The fire call went out around 1 a.m. for a home at the corner of Knowles Street and 17th Avenue North.

According to emergency crews on scene, when they arrived, the house was engulfed in flames, but they were able to put it out quickly.

The home is a complete loss and the fire was ruled suspicious since there was no power to the home and the windows were boarded up.

It’s unclear what actually started the blaze.
