We see them on the streets of Nashville but may not know their names. They are Nashville’s homeless people.
A startling number of them have died this year: 127 homeless people in all.
Their names were read out loud at the Annual Homeless Memorial. It took place Saturday morning at the Riverfront in Nashville.
Dozens of people turned out to honor the homeless community and remember those who lost their lives in 2018.
Nashville Homeless Underground and Open Table organized the event.
Faith leaders, public officials and homeless advocates were there to make sure they are not forgotten.
