Brick Church Trinity Lane pedestrian hit-and-run

A 49-year-old homeless man was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Talbot’s Corner neighborhood early Friday morning.

The crash happened around 1:20 a.m. near Brick Church Pike and Trinity Lane.

The victim was identified by Metro police as Michael Anderson, who they claim is homeless.

Investigators said Anderson, for an unknown reason, was in the center turn lane of West Trinity Lane when he began to walk toward the north side of the roadway.

He was then hit by an SUV, which was traveling west on West Trinity Lane, according to police.

Metro police said the driver who hit the man drove away from the scene.

Anderson was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center where he died.

Metro police are searching for a dark-colored, possibly maroon SUV, which will have front-end damage from the collision.

Anyone with information on the SUV is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.

The roadway was closed but reopened to traffic around 4 a.m.
